HMRC has today announced that the new Off Payroll Rules, coming into force in April 2020, will apply to payment for services performed on or after 6th April 2020 rather than payments made on or after that date. This means that work performed in March but paid in April will fall under the old regime rather than the new rules. In practical terms the change gives organisations a little more time to adjust arrangements to address the new rules. This change is as a direct result of the roundtable meetings and representation made by attendees including the Association of Recruitment Consultancies.
