Events

Save during the lockdown, every year since 1998, Lawspeed has hosted events, usually in the form of seminars under the banner ‘Knowledge is Power’. The purpose – to provide detailed informative and practical information on a burning current issue relevant to the recruitment sector.

Topics may include proposed or newly implemented legislation, for example IR35, a refresh on existing rules such as the agency conduct regulations, or managed service company tax rules (MSC), or employment status.

We also run webinars on specific subjects, for example; training modules on legal aspects or recruitment processes which are ideal for recruitment business staff induction or refresh. Lawspeed provides all the training modules for the Association of Recruitment Consultancies (ARC) online webinar series, a bank of prepared training modules designed to allow ARC members to run their own internal training.

We are always happy to tailor an event or presentation, whether for internal training or information purposes or to provide explanations for third parties such as hirers and employers. Lawspeed also holds masterclasses from time to time. These are boardroom style events open to no more than 20 individuals at a time. Our IR35 masterclasses have been particularly popular and are now available in the form of in-house training via video call. Whilst the presentations provide detailed information, our collaborative approach encourages discussion and questions that address specific issues that attendees may have, so tailoring the attendees’ knowledge of the subject for their business operations.
