IR35 – post 6th April 2020, contractor or agency worker?
This practical, hands on seminar is designed to help delegates understand the regulatory and contractual impact of the changes to the IR35 rules which are now set to apply from 6th April.
As some hirers are rejecting the continued use of company contractors, and others still hope to use them, contracts and processes will need to change and different regulations could apply. At the same time, new Conduct Regulations require key information to be provided. What are the options, how should you deal with them, what risks attach to each?
The seminar will cover the impact of:
- The new IR35 off payroll rules
- Conduct Regulations requirements and limited company opting out
- Agency Worker Regulations
- Changing client requirements
Different types of engagement will be considered including the pros and cons of different contract models (PAYE, umbrella, consultancy, personal service company). With a presentation from HMRC on key questions raised during the Government’s recent review of the rules, delegates will gain from a rounded understanding of both policy and practical implementation.
- Justin Giles, Policy Advisor, HMRC
- Adrian Marlowe, Managing Director, Lawspeed
- Theresa Mimnagh, Associate Director, Lawspeed
- Peter Lappin, Legal Consultant, Lawspeed
