BIS has announced that the anticipated consultation on changes to the Conduct
of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 will not be
published until the New Year to ensure that there is sufficient time for the
consultation to take place (8 to 12 weeks).
As a result any changes will be implemented in the new Parliament and not on
the 6th April 2015. The only exception to this being the measures to ensure that
all vacancies are advertised in Great Britain and in English which have already
been consulted on. This new regulation will come into force in January 2015.
The BIS statement also added that the resources of the Employment Agencies
Standards Inspectorate will be doubled this financial year with a view to
increasing resources again for the financial year 2015/16.
