BIS to speak at compliance seminar, combined with ARC debate on proposed tax changes

Lawspeed is pleased to announce that a representative from BIS will speak at its innovative compliance seminar, to be held on the 23rd September in London.

This seminar is aimed at business owners and senior managers, and will address tax, compliance, post-termination restrictions and social media issues currently affecting recruitment businesses and other sector operators. Uniquely, the event will be combined with a high level tax debate in the morning.

“Businesses are not impermeable to external changes. They have to constantly adapt in order to keep within a dynamic tax and legal framework, as well as maintain their comparative advantage and profitability. Staying ahead of the competition and protecting your business information and clients in the wake of the social media revolution can be a managerial minefield. ” commented Ravi Murphy, Director of the event organiser, Lawspeed.

The morning ‘think tank’ meeting to be held by the Association of Recruitment Consultancies (ARC) with representatives from HMRC, the Treasury, FCSA, IPSE and Lawspeed on government plans to scrap tax relief on travel and subsistence expenses and change the ‘IR35’ rules.

Recruitment businesses who would like to find out more about these proposed changes are invited to attend and contribute to the discussion on whether the proposals are likely to damage the supply industry and therefore the flexibility of the UK workforce.

“This combined event will be an interesting and informative day for everyone” concluded Murphy.

To register for this all day event please call 01273 236236. Price per person is £280 including lunch, with discounts for ARC members.
